West Asase Gardens
Community 1

West Asase Gardens is where Ɔman began. It sits on Marcus Garvey Avenue, straddling the 45 foot road that connects the Prampram Beach Road to the West African Transway, and it remains our home base.

As the first community, it is also the most established. Sixty nine landowners hold plots here, and many have completed their fence walls and planted fruit trees. The eastern and northern borders are lined with Indian trees, and the internal roads are tree lined throughout.

The people here come from Ghana, Haiti, Jamaica, Barbados, Zambia and Nigeria among others. What they share is a commitment to Africa and a decision to build something lasting in Ghana.

Our roads carry the names of those who shaped Africa and the diaspora.

East Asase Gardens
Community 2

East Asase Gardens is the greenest of our communities. The soil is fertile, trees are planted throughout, and at its highest point there is a breeze that carries all day.

It is reached from Marcus Garvey Avenue, turning into JJ Dessaline Avenue, or from West Asase Gardens via Julius Malema Street.

As one of our earliest communities it is also one of the most developed. Many landowners have completed their fence walls, and the community has parks and green spaces laid out for families. Look out across the ground and you can see The Covenant, Community 4, rising in the distance.

The Ark
Community 3

The Ark sits high, and it sees everything. The Shai Hills rise behind it, the coast opens out in front, and from most points on the estate you can look across Communities 1, 2 and 4.

The name is deliberate. The Ark is built to hold, to protect what is inside it and to last. That thinking runs through how the community was laid out and how it has been maintained.

More trees have been kept here than anywhere else on Ɔman, and the birdlife has followed. The morning chorus is something worth being there for. After rain the whole community turns green, and it is at its best.

Over 100 landowners hold plots here. Many came after Communities 1 and 2, drawn by the same idea and joining hands with the people already settled below.

The Covenant
Community 4

The Covenant takes its name and its form from Lalibela, where the church of St George was cut down into solid rock rather than built up from it. Ethiopia holds a lineage traceable across thousands of years, and it stands as proof of what Africans have built without permission from anyone.

The crosses of Lalibela appear throughout the community. The roads were laid five feet wider than our standard to cut density and open the place up, and in the early morning the dew sits across the whole community.

This was the first community where we set aside dedicated commercial plots and a significant communal space for a wellness site, funded by the landowners themselves.

There is also a second meaning in the name. Anyone who acquires land in the motherland has entered a covenant with Africa, and this community was built for people who understand what that means.

The Covenant is fully allocated. Limited availability remains in Community 5, with plots available now in Community 6.
